Staff responsibilities

The Media Analyst will take responsibility for the detailed analysis and reporting of client advertising campaigns and Xelsion performance, with the key objective of spotting trends and patterns in the data and acting on these to improve key metrics.

Summary of position

Xelsion works with advertisers and publishers directly, offering 4 core areas of digital media services:

  • Programmatic and biddable media trading across Display, Paid Social and Paid Search (SEM).
  • Analytics and data-driven attribution-modelling.
  • Creative production of high-impact, dynamic, cross-device compatible, HTML5 formats.
  • Consultancy and training on media strategy, data activation, vendor selection, technology integration and in-house resourcing
  • The Media Analyst will collate data from a variety of systems and perform detailed analysis on the data before preparing reports to communicate the findings to colleagues and clients.

Current data analysis is done using excel workbooks and R, which is suitable in the short term, but given the quantity of data that is available for analysis, Xelsion is constantly evaluating 3rd party statistical analysis software, and will be looking for the Media Analyst to lead the tender process and selection of these software packages.

The role reports directly to the Head of Media who will rely on data analysis and recommendations from the Media Analyst to negotiate deals and oversee all partnerships with media suppliers and advertisers.
